Three Palms for Two Punks and a Babe
Synopsis
The story is set in Serbia in 1993, amid hyperinflation and economic collapse. Milan, an enthusiastic supporter of FC Partizan, shares a home with his friend, who works as a painter, and earns money by selling the paintings to the “new elite.” He meets a woman employed by a phone‑sex hotline; the two eventually fall in love. Another acquaintance of Milan’s serves as a treasury guard at a bank overseen by a dubious figure known as “Serbian mother,” who is infamous for defrauding thousands of creditors. The couple plans to rob the bank and escape to a remote, sun‑lit island with palm trees.
