Synopsis
In post‑World War II peacetime Scotland, brigade headquarters replaces commanding officer Major Jock Sinclair, described as a boisterous battalion leader, with Lieutenant Colonel Basil Barrow, who is characterized as strict and temperamental. Resentful of his replacement, Sinclair works to undermine Barrow’s authority and harms the reputation of his successor among the soldiers. Barrow must contend with restoring discipline and respect within his battalion.
