Synopsis
This dramatized portrayal of Abraham Lincoln's early legal career in Illinois depicts his birth in a modest log cabin and his encouragement from his first love, Ann Rutledge, to pursue a career in law. After Rutledge's tragic death, Lincoln establishes a law practice in Springfield, where he meets Mary Todd. His legal abilities are tested when he takes on the challenging case of defending two brothers accused of murder.
