Alex Gibney’s Salman Rushdie Documentary Acquired by Abramorama
“Documentary “Knife: The Attempted Murder of Salman Rushdie,” directed by Alex Gibney, has been acquired by distributor Abramorama. The film will open with a week‑long engagement at New York’s IFC Center on September 17 before expanding to additional North American theaters. It follows Rushdie in the days after the 2022 knife attack on his life and has previously screened at festivals including CPH:DOX and Guadalajara.”
