Ali Zafar

Ali Zafar (born May 18, 1980, in Lahore, Pakistan) is a Pakistani musician, composer, songwriter, singer, actor, painter, and model, known for his music and film work. His popular songs include "Channo," "Rangeen," "Chal Dil Merey," "Dekha," "Masty," "Jhoom," "Sajania," "Madhubala," "voh dekhney mein," "Dastan-e-ishq," and "Yar Dhadhi Ishq." He began his singing career with the song "Jugnuon Se Bhar Le Aanchal" in the film *Shararat*, directed by Pakistani actress and director Samina Peerzada, but gained wider recognition with his first single "Channo" from his debut album *Huqa Pani*, which sold over seven million copies worldwide. The album became one of the biggest hits in Pakistan, with "Channo" topping the charts for an extended period. Zafar made his acting debut in the 2010 Indian film *Tere Bin Laden*, directed by Abhishek Sharma, which became a sleeper hit and a cult classic, elevating Zafar to new levels of stardom in Bollywood as an actor. His second film, *Mere Brother Ki Dulhan*, was also a blockbuster, followed by another hit, *London, Paris, New York*, marking Zafar as the first in Bollywood after Kishore Kumar to achieve success as a versatile actor, singer, composer, lyricist, and music arranger. He has sold over 15 million copies worldwide.
