Biography

Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress who made her screen debut in the Channel 4 film *Sex Traffic*, for which she won the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. She is also known for her role in *4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days*, a performance that earned her critical acclaim and several award nominations, including the European Film Award for Best Actress, the London Film Critics Circle Award for Actress of the Year, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress, and the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Actress. In 2008, she received the Shooting Stars Award at the 58th Berlin International Film Festival, presented by the European Film Promotion.
