Biography

Anya‑Josephine Marie Taylor‑Joy is an actress born in Miami who was raised in Buenos Aires and London. She began acting at 16, first taking small television parts, and achieved a breakthrough with the lead role in the horror film *The Witch* (2015). She subsequently appeared in *Split* (2016) and its sequel *Glass* (2019), the black comedy *Thoroughbreds* (2017), and the television series *Peaky Blinders* (2019–2022). Taylor‑Joy also portrayed Emma Woodhouse in the period drama *Emma* (2020).
