Biography
Bill Plympton is an American animator, filmmaker, and cartoonist known for his distinctive hand-drawn animation style. He received widespread recognition with his 1987 Academy Award–nominated animated short *Your Face*, which highlighted his unique character design and storytelling approach. Plympton also created a series of animated shorts featuring a dog character, starting with *Guard Dog* in 2004. His work frequently combines humor with surreal visuals, influenced by his background in graphic design and cartooning. Plympton has maintained an independent presence in animation, producing a diverse range of films that showcase his creative versatility.
