Bill Plympton is an American animator, filmmaker, and cartoonist known for his distinctive hand-drawn animation style. He received widespread recognition with his 1987 Academy Award–nominated animated short *Your Face*, which highlighted his unique character design and storytelling approach. Plympton also created a series of animated shorts featuring a dog character, starting with *Guard Dog* in 2004.
