Biography

Bo Derek is an American actress and model who began her career as a child model. Encouraged by a talent agent connected through actress Ann-Margret, she transitioned into acting. In 1973, she appeared in the romantic drama film *Once Upon a Love*, directed by her future husband John Derek and later released in 1981 as *Fantasies*. Derek gained widespread recognition for her role in the romantic comedy *10* (1979), which established her as a sex icon and a major Hollywood celebrity. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year – Actress.
