Biography

Brooke Christa Shields is an American actress and the current president of the Actors' Equity Association. She began her career as a child model at just 11 months old and gained widespread attention for her role in Louis Malle's *Pretty Baby* (1978), in which she appeared in nude scenes when she was 11 years old. Shields continued modeling into her late teens and transitioned into acting, starring in several 1980s dramas, including *The Blue Lagoon* (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli's *Endless Love* (1981).
