Biography

Charles Edward Daniels was an American singer, musician, and songwriter known for blending rock, country, blues, and jazz into his music, making significant contributions to Southern rock and progressive country. He gained widespread recognition for his number-one country hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." The majority of his charting work, including all but one of his eight Billboard Hot 100 singles, was released under the name of the Charlie Daniels Band.
