*Murder, She Wrote* is an American crime drama television series created by Peter S. Fischer, Richard Levinson, and William Link. Starring Angela Lansbury as Jessica Fletcher, a mystery writer and amateur detective, the show follows her as she solves murders in the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine, and beyond. The series, produced by Universal Television for CBS, aired for 12 seasons from September 30, 1984, to May 19, 1996, comprising 264 episodes. Recurring cast members included Tom Bosley, William Windom, and Ron Masak.
