Biography

Robert Francis Vaughn was an American actor and political activist whose career in film, television, and theater spanned nearly six decades. He is best known for his role as secret agent Napoleon Solo in the television series *The Man from U.N.C.L.E.* (1964–1968). Vaughn received numerous accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, an Academy Award nomination, and four Golden Globe nominations. He also won a BAFTA Award and was nominated for two Laurel Awards. In recognition of his contributions to entertainment, Vaughn was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
