Biography
Beau Starr (born September 1, 1944) was an American actor who appeared in film and television. His younger brother, Mike Starr, was also an actor. Starr graduated from Hofstra University, where he played football, and later played professionally for the Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL. He is known for his role as Sheriff Ben Meeker in the 1988 horror film *Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers*; he reprised the role in the 1989 sequel *Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers*. He also appeared as Henry Hill's father in Martin Scorsese's *Goodfellas*. He is also remembered for his role as Lt. Harding Welsh in *Due South*.
