Biography

Derek Bruce Hough is an American professional Latin and ballroom dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, and television personality. He gained prominence as a professional dancer on the ABC dance competition series *Dancing with the Stars* from 2007 to 2016, during which he won the show a record six times with his celebrity partners. Hough's choreographic work earned him 14 Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Choreography, with four wins. In later years, he transitioned to a judging role on *Dancing with the Stars*, beginning with its 29th season.
