Desmond Chiam

Desmond Chiam is an Australian actor best known for his roles as Wyatt Cole in the television series *Reef Break* and General Riga in *The Shannara Chronicles*. Born in Melbourne, Australia, Chiam earned a law degree from the University of Melbourne and a master’s degree in screenwriting from the University of Southern California. Initially working in law, he later transitioned to a career in acting and dancing after becoming dissatisfied with his legal profession. Chiam began acting in short films and made his television debut in an episode of *Neighbours*. His subsequent television credits include *Better Man*, *Offspring*, *Bones*, *NCIS: Los Angeles*, *Hawaii Five-0*, as well as roles as Jethro in *Now Apocalypse* and Dovich in the Disney+ original series *The Falcon and the Winter Soldier*. Chiam is also a co-creator, executive producer, and writer for the series *We, the Band*.
