Biography
Douglas Peter Savant is an American actor known for his roles in television and film. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Matt Fielding in the Fox prime time soap opera *Melrose Place* from 1992 to 1997. Savant also played Tom Scavo in the ABC comedy-drama *Desperate Housewives*, a role he held from 2004 to 2012. In addition to his television work, he appeared as Sgt. O'Neal in the 1998 film *Godzilla*.
