Biography

Dustin Lee Hoffman is an American actor and filmmaker recognized for his portrayals of antiheroes and emotionally vulnerable characters. A key leading man in the development of New Hollywood, Hoffman has received multiple awards, including two Academy Awards, four BAFTA Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, and two Emmy Awards. He was also nominated for a Tony Award.

Hoffman has received several lifetime achievement honors, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 1997, the AFI Life Achievement Award in 1999, and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. His work in film and television has established him as one of the most respected actors of his generation.
