Ed Bianchi

From the mid-1980s to the early 2000s, Ed Bianchi transitioned from being named "Best Commercial Director of the Year" in 1985—having directed ads for American Express, Eastern Airlines, and Jello Pudding, among others—into one of the 21st century's most in-demand television directors. His notable directing credits include episodes of "Law & Order: SVU," "The Wire," and "Mad Men." He is most closely associated with producing and directing David Milch's Western drama "Deadwood." Bianchi continued his focus on crime-driven narratives as a director and co-executive producer on Mitch Glazer's 2011 series "Magic City," set in mid-20th century Miami.
