Edward Francis Cline was an American screenwriter, actor, writer, and director renowned for his collaborations with comedians W.C. Fields and Buster Keaton. Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Cline made significant contributions to early comedy films, both in front of and behind the camera. He spent his career in Hollywood, where he ultimately died.
