Jennifer Joanna Aniston (born February 11, 1969) is an American actress and producer. She gained international recognition for her portrayal of Rachel Green on the television sitcom *Friends*, which aired from 1994 to 2004. For her performance, she received Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild awards. As her career developed throughout the 1990s, she became one of the world's highest-paid actresses.

Born to actors John Aniston and Nancy Dow, Aniston began her acting career at a young age with an uncredited role in the 1988 film *Mac and Me*.
