Biography

Jim Henson was an influential American puppeteer, filmmaker, and creative producer, best known for creating the Muppets. His work extended beyond the Muppets to include the creation of *Fraggle Rock* (1983–1987), as well as the fantasy films *The Dark Crystal* (1982) and *Labyrinth* (1986), both of which he directed. Henson also developed the Muppets for *Sesame Street* (1969–present), where they became a central part of the show's success. His innovative use of puppetry and storytelling left a lasting impact on television and film.
