Charles John Mahoney was an English-born American actor best known for his role as Martin Crane, the retired police officer and father of Frasier Crane, on the NBC sitcom *Frasier*. He portrayed the character from 1993 to 2004, earning critical acclaim and two Golden Globe Award nominations, as well as two Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
