Biography

Joseph Ruskin (born April 14, 1924 – December 28, 2013) was an American character actor. Ruskin is one of only four actors to have appeared in both the original *Star Trek* (1966) series and one of its spin-offs, alongside Majel Barrett, Clint Howard, and Jack Donner. He is also one of only four actors to have appeared in both the original *Star Trek* series and *Star Trek: Enterprise* (2001). Ruskin portrayed a Vulcan Master in an episode of *Star Trek: Voyager* and appeared in an episode of *The Outer Limits* titled "Production and Decay of Strange Particles," as well as in the film *Smokin' Aces*. Ruskin provided the uncredited voice of the Kanamits in the *Twilight Zone* episode "To Serve Man" and may also be recognized as the Genie in the 1960 *Twilight Zone* episode "The Man in the Bottle."
