Biography

Lisa Lu is a Chinese-American actress with a long and varied career in Hong Kong, American, and mainland Chinese film and television, beginning in 1958. She is known for her versatility and depth in portraying a wide range of roles across different cinematic traditions. In the 1970s, she won the Golden Horse Awards three times, receiving two awards for Best Leading Actress and one for Best Supporting Actress. She is the only individual to be a member of both the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
