Biography

Michael C. Hall (born February 1, 1971) is an American actor known for his television roles as David Fisher on the HBO drama series *Six Feet Under* and Dexter Morgan on the Showtime series *Dexter*. In 2009, Hall received a Golden Globe award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance in *Dexter*.

Following the original series' conclusion in 2013 after eight seasons, three *Dexter* continuations have been produced: a sequel miniseries titled *Dexter: New Blood* in 2021, a prequel series *Dexter: Original Sin* in 2024, and a direct follow-up to *New Blood*, *Dexter: Resurrection*, in 2025.
