Biography

Michael Shamberg is a film and television producer and advisor to BuzzFeed Motion Pictures. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture for his work on *Erin Brockovich* and *The Big Chill*. Among his other film credits are the science-themed movies *Contagion* and *Gattaca*. Shamberg served as an executive producer for *Pulp Fiction* and *Django Unchained*. He has produced several films based on true stories, including *Freeheld*, *World Trade Center*, and *Man on the Moon*. His production credits span a wide range of genres and include *Out of Sight*, *Wish I Was Here*, *Get Shorty*, *Reality Bites*, *Garden State*, *Along Came Polly*, *The Skeleton Key*, *How High*, *A Walk Among the Tombstones*, and *A Fish Called Wanda*. He also served as an executive producer for the television series *Reno 911*.
