Biography

Milton Berle was an American actor and comedian whose entertainment career spanned over eight decades, beginning with silent films and stage performances as a child. He gained widespread fame as the host of NBC's *Texaco Star Theatre* (1948–1953), becoming the first major television star in the United States. Known affectionately as "Uncle Miltie" and "Mr. Television," Berle played a pivotal role during the first Golden Age of Television. His contributions to entertainment earned him two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one for his work in radio and another for television.
