Biography
Neil began his career writing for radio and television at a weekly rate of $50. Soon after, he wrote for Sid Caesar, Red Buttons, and Jackie Gleason, earning $1,600 a week. In 1956, he began writing for Broadway, and in 1961, he had a major success with *Come Blow Your Horn*. The following year, he produced *Barefoot in the Park* and *Little Me*. Several of his plays were later adapted into successful films, including *The Odd Couple*, *Barefoot in the Park*, and *Sweet Charity*.
