Peter Julian Robin Morgan is a British playwright and screenwriter known for his historical and biographical works, particularly those focusing on figures such as Queen Elizabeth II. His career spans stage and screen, earning him critical acclaim and numerous awards, including five BAFTA Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and four Golden Globe Awards. Morgan has also been nominated for two Academy Awards, a Tony Award, and a Laurence Olivier Award. In recognition of his contributions to film and theatre, he was awarded a British Film Institute Fellowship in February 2017.
