Roz Ryan

Loretta Ryan has performed for over 30 years as an actress, singer, recording artist, nightclub performer, and concert artist. She has performed in nightclubs across the Midwest and the United States, on Broadway, the Las Vegas Strip, and on cruise ships. Her Broadway credits include *Dreamgirls* (as Effie White), *Ain't Misbehavin'* (as Nell Carter), *Chicago the Musical* (as Matron Mama Morton), *One Mo' Time* (as Bertha), *A Christmas Carol* at Madison Square Garden (as The Ghost of Christmas Present), a role she is the only woman to have performed, *The Pajama Game* (as Mabel), and the role of Bloody Mary in *South Pacific* in Thailand, Australia, and China. She also performed in *Blues in the Night*, for which she received the Carbonell and Zoni Awards for Best Actress in a Musical. Additional stage credits include *The Old Settler*, *Seven Guitars*, and *Cole Porter Request The Pleasure*, for which she received the Carbonell Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2012, she received the Broadway World Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her role in *Saving Aimee* at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre, which later moved to Broadway as *Scandalous*.

Ryan's television credits include *The NBC sitcom "Amen"* (as Amelia Heterbrink), Mrs. Dixon on *Good News*, "Flo Anderson" on the WB series *All About the Andersons*, *JAG*, *Half and Half*, "Mae Palmer" on the Showtime series *Barbershop*, the *Hercules* cartoon series on ABC, 2012's BET series *Let's Stay Together*, and Disney's *Crash and Bernstein*. Her film credits include Francis Ford Coppola's *The Cotton Club*, Disney's animated feature *Hercules* (voice of Thalia), *Nikita Blues* (produced by Roz Ryan and Marc Cayce), *Waiting for Forever*, *The Invention of Lying*, *I Think I Love My Wife*, and *Whatever Lola Wants*. Her voice-over work includes Thalia in Disney's *Hercules* (TV series, feature film, and action games), "Bubbie the Blue Beluga Whale!" in *The Misadventures of FlapJack* on Cartoon Network, Ms. Fitzpatrick in *Kick Buttowski* on Disney XD, Gorgeous G in *Scooby-Doo*, and Witch Lezah in The WB's *Looney Tunes* series. In 2013, Ryan appeared in the Capitol One Venture Card national commercial as Charles Barkley's mother, and in 2014 as Aunt Sylvia in the second season of *The Rickey Smiley Show* on TV One and as Cake the Cat in Cartoon Network's animated series *Adventure Time*.
