Biography

Russell Brand (born 4 June 1975) is a British comedian, actor, columnist, author, TV and radio personality, presenter, activist, and campaigner.

Brand gained mainstream recognition in the UK for hosting the Big Brother spin-off *Big Brother's Big Mouth* and for his work on his radio show, as well as appearances on other television series and award ceremonies. He has been associated with several controversies in the British media, including the 2008 prank calls that resulted in his resignation from the BBC.
