Ruta Lee was a Canadian-born American actress and dancer of Lithuanian descent, known for her work in film and television. She gained recognition for her role as one of the brides in the 1954 musical *Seven Brides for Seven Brothers*. Lee also appeared in notable films such as Billy Wilder's crime drama *Witness for the Prosecution* and Stanley Donen's musical comedy *Funny Face*. In addition to her film career, she made a memorable guest appearance in the 1963 episode of *The Twilight Zone* titled "A Short Drink from a Certain Fountain."
