Shane Daly

Shane was born and raised in Brampton, Canada, and attended Bramalea Secondary School. He briefly enrolled in the business program at Sheridan College but soon realized it was not the right path for him. His interest in acting was sparked in 1989 after a car accident led him to visit an actor friend on set. He later trained with several acting coaches, including Harold Guskin, who had previously coached the late James Gandolfini.

During an acting class, his first coach arranged for him to meet an agent, who signed him to their roster. Shane made his first on-camera appearances in commercials before landing a role on the CBC series *Street Legal*. Over the past decade, he has appeared in numerous television shows, including *Flashpoint*, *The Firm*, *Blue Mountain State*, *Transporter*, and others. His film roles have included appearances in *Exit Wounds*, *Kick Ass 2*, and *Detroit Rock City*. He has also appeared alongside Susan Sarandon in *The Calling*, Jamie Foxx in *Redemption*, and Bruce Greenwood in *Firehouse Dog*.

In addition to acting, Shane is an accomplished guitarist and, during breaks in his career, engages in Futures trading, following a path similar to actor James Brolin. He was so impressed by Harold Guskin’s book *Stop Acting* that he tracked Guskin down through his publisher in 2006 and met with him in New York City to work through the material personally.
