Biography

Sharlto Copley is a South African actor whose work includes numerous science‑fiction and action titles. He received international attention for his role in the Academy Award‑nominated film District 9 and subsequently appeared in The A‑Team (2010), Elysium, Europa Report, Maleficent (2014) and the 2022 thriller Beast. In 2015 he starred as the title character in the science‑fiction film Chappie and played Jimmy in Hardcore Henry. Copley had a recurring role as Christian Walker in the television series Powers from 2015 to 2016, and in 2025 joined the cast of The Witcher for its fourth season as Leo Bonhart.
