Biography
Anthony Robert Kushner (born July 16, 1956) is an American author, playwright, and screenwriter. He is best known for his play *Angels in America*, which received a Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a Tony Award for Best Play. In the early 2000s, he gained recognition for his film collaborations with director Steven Spielberg. He was awarded the National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in 2013.
