Biography

William Shatner is a Canadian actor whose career has spanned seven decades. He is best known for his portrayal of Captain James T. Kirk in the *Star Trek* franchise. Shatner first appeared as Kirk in the second pilot of the original *Star Trek* television series in 1966, playing the captain of the starship *Enterprise*. His role as Captain Kirk continued through the original series and subsequent *Star Trek* films, with his final appearance in the seventh *Star Trek* feature film, *Star Trek Generations* (1994).
