Zuleikha Robinson

Zuleikha Robinson (born 29 June 1977) is an English actress who was raised in Thailand and Malaysia by a Burmese-Indian mother and an English father. She studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and is best known for her role as Ilana in the ABC series *Lost*. In 2006, she portrayed Moushumi Mazumdar, a Bengali character, in Mira Nair's critically praised film *The Namesake*, which is based on the novel of the same name. Robinson also appeared in a supporting role in the HBO series *Rome* and played Eva Marquez, a New York Police Department detective, in the Fox television drama *New Amsterdam*. She joined the cast of *Lost* in 2009 during its fifth season as the recurring character Ilana and was later promoted to series regular for the sixth season. She is the sister of British field botanist Dr. Alastair Robinson.
