Anne of Green Gables
Anne Shirley is a freckled, red-haired girl who was raised in an orphanage after losing her parents at a young age. Despite growing up without love or affection, she remains cheerful and full of life. At the age of 11, she is adopted by Matthew Cuthbert and his sister Marilla, an elderly farming couple who had originally intended to adopt a boy to help with farm work. Anne begins her new life with the Cuthberts at their farm, Green Gables. As she faces various challenges and meets many friends and acquaintances, Anne matures into a strong-minded woman.
