Synopsis
In 1924, the formation of the first Labour government brings significant political and social shifts, with tensions arising at Downton Abbey as Carson clashes with Robert and Mrs. Hughes over a proposed war memorial. Meanwhile, Jimmy faces awkward romantic advances, Thomas pressures Baxter, Branson's friendship with an unsuitable person worries Robert, Lady Mary begins to consider love again after her tragedy, and Edith's emotional struggles threaten to disrupt her arrangement with Tim Drewe and the household itself.
