Dr. G: Medical Examiner

*Dr. G: Medical Examiner* is a reality television series that aired on TLC and Discovery Fit & Health. The show features Dr. Jan Garavaglia, also known as Dr. G, who serves as Chief Medical Examiner for Florida's District Nine Medical Examiner's office in Orlando, Florida. The series showcases Dr. G investigating unexplained deaths in the Orlando area, as well as cases from her previous role as a Medical Examiner in Bexar County, Texas. Each episode includes dramatic reenactments of the events leading to the death, along with footage of autopsies. The show also includes interviews with Dr. G, family members, and others involved in the cases. The cases Dr. G examines often involve a range of causes, including undiagnosed medical conditions, accidents, or potential foul play. In one episode, a woman who had attempted suicide was found to have died from an unrelated medical condition, rather than by her own hand. Another case involved human remains discovered near railroad tracks; through an autopsy and investigation, it was determined the remains belonged to a missing girl who had been killed by her mother. The series is produced by Atlas Media Corporation, based in New York. Bruce David Klein serves as the executive producer.
