Re-l is tasked with investigating a string of unexplained attacks by AutoReivs infected with Cogito, where she encounters a humanoid creature. She later becomes a target when two of these beings attack her at her residence.

Re-l faces skepticism from her peers when she tries to convince them of her encounters with creatures known as Proxies, leading to her being removed from the investigation. During this time, Iggy's recent memories are erased, while Vincent evades both a Proxy and the city's authorities.

Vincent is on the run from the authorities in Romdo and encounters the infected AutoReiv Pino, who guides him to escape to the outside world. Meanwhile, Re-l attempts to establish contact with Vincent and determine his role in the Proxy phenomenon.

Vincent and Pino find refuge with a small community that survives by scavenging waste from the Dome. At the same time, Raul begins planning his strategy to track down and capture Vincent.

Re-l ventures outside Romdo to rescue Vincent, while Raul attacks the Commune with patrol drones to capture him. During the assault, Re-l's environmental suit is damaged and Vincent is injured, leading her to confirm her suspicions about a connection between Vincent and the Proxies.

Re-l falls seriously ill due to the harsh environmental conditions, putting her life at risk. Meanwhile, Hoody devises a scheme to deceive Raul and return to Romdo, while Quinn organizes an escape from the Commune using the Rabbit.

Meanwhile, Vincent journeys home, gradually losing those traveling with him until only Pino remains. As Re-l, Iggy, and Daedalus face a group of infected AutoReivs, the episode concludes with Daedalus completing Re-l's death certificate.

Vincent encounters a mysterious bookstore and its enigmatic owner, leading him to uncover deeper truths about himself. Meanwhile, Re-l and Iggy discuss the Centzon, the Rabbit, a flying ship central to Vincent's journey.

The group encounters a rogue Proxy and its AutoReiv partner, prompting Re-l to test her newly acquired weapon in combat.

Amid the city's ongoing collapse, Vincent and Re-l come across Proxy One, while Raul, consumed by regret and despair, embarks on a search for Pino.
