Falling Skies

After an unexpected alien invasion, humanity faces the challenges of surviving under occupation. Tom Mason, a history professor and second-in-command of the 2nd Mass, is determined to locate his son, who has been captured by the aliens for an unknown reason.

Tom, Hal, and their squad encounter trouble when they come across a group of marauders led by ex-convict John Pope, who takes hostages in an attempt to negotiate for weapons from the 2nd Massachusetts.

Dr. Michael Harris devises a possible plan to rescue teenagers taken hostage by aliens, but his progress is hindered by Tom's ongoing investigation into unresolved mysteries from the start of the invasion. Meanwhile, as the 2nd Mass tries to save Ben, they come across skitters and mechs.

Tom and his team, under Pope's guidance, set out to obtain additional motorcycles for the Second Mass, achieving success until they come across skitters and captured teenagers at a bicycle shop. At the same time, Dr. Harris and Anne have a disagreement regarding the most effective method for gathering intelligence on the alien threat.

Hal formulates a bold rescue mission to save teenagers abducted by aliens, although the plan risks the life of an individual. Meanwhile, Anne undergoes a personal tragedy that results in a significant breakthrough, which proves essential to the success of Hal's operation.

Lt. Terry Clayton informs the community that an alien attack is about to occur and suggests a plan to evacuate the children to a safer location while the adults remain to defend the 2nd Mass. His proposed strategy raises concerns and leads to disagreements among the parents, especially Tom.

Hal takes on the responsibility of protecting the children of the 2nd Mass from an unexpected and perilous threat. At the same time, Anne faces the difficulties of Sarah going into labor as the base undergoes evacuation.

The 2nd Mass prepares to launch a direct assault on an alien base, but doubts emerge regarding Weaver's increasingly erratic behavior and his capacity to lead effectively. At the same time, Hal and Tom encounter a woman who has endured the invasion in an unconventional manner, prompting suspicion about her actual motives.

As tensions escalate in anticipation of an upcoming military strike, internal disputes start to undermine the cohesion of the 2nd Mass. At the same time, Tom grapples with the wide-ranging implications of Anne's recent disclosure.

Tom remains to help with the evacuation of civilians as Weaver takes command of the fighters confronting the aliens, but a security breach endangers both military personnel and noncombatants. Tom must make a crucial choice that may uncover the aliens' actual motives concerning the abducted teenagers, the human race, and the planet itself.
