Fonzie discovers an old note from his childhood listing personal goals for the next twenty years, including a challenge he has yet to complete—riding his motorcycle up Suicide Hill. Despite a previous failed attempt, he is determined to achieve this long-standing ambition.

Joanie's busy schedule strains her relationship with Chachi, leading to conflict as they propose opposite solutions—Joanie suggests breaking up, while Chachi insists on getting married.

Fonzie, still reeling from his breakup with Ashley, is convinced by Potsie, Chachi, and Roger to attend what they claim is a sporting camp. Upon arrival, he discovers it's actually a singles resort and initially plans to leave. After deciding to stay, his presence begins to disrupt the other men's enjoyment.

Richie returns home from the army with Ralph and his family, including Lori Beth and Richie Jr. Howard helps Richie secure a job interview with The Milwaukee Journal, though Richie seems disinterested in pursuing it.

Chachi's rising music career takes off when his single chart success leads to an invitation to tour with the Beach Boys as an opening act. His excitement is short-lived, however, when he is diagnosed with diabetes and decides to leave the tour.

After a fellow member of the Leopard Lodge passes away, Howard becomes concerned about his position as Grand Poohbah due to his failure to recruit new members beyond Potsie during his five-year tenure. To address this, he convinces Fonzie, Chachi, and Roger to join as pledges, who must obey Potsie's commands during their initiation into the lodge.
