Netflix is set to release a variety of new movies and TV shows in May 2026, including a new adaptation of William Golding’s classic novel Lord of the Flies. The four-episode drama, which premiered on the BBC to critical acclaim, will now be available to Netflix subscribers. The month also features a double dose of Kevin Hart, with his new reality competition series Funny AF With Kevin Hart launching on May 5 and The Roast of Kevin Hart airing on May 10 as part of the Netflix Is A Joke comedy festival. Another highlight is the live event Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano, set for May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. While both fighters have been away from the ring for years, Netflix continues to prioritize high-profile events over purist expectations. Additionally, a second season of Tina Fey’s comedy The Four Seasons will debut, along with a new limited series from Emmy-winning writer Jack Thorne.
