Money Heist
A mastermind known only as The Professor recruits a desperate team to storm Spain’s Royal Mint and print billions, but their meticulously planned robbery spirals into a tense standoff with police and hostages that could make them legends—or dead men.
To execute what may be the largest heist in history, a man known only as The Professor assembles a group of eight robbers, each of whom shares one common trait: they have nothing left to lose. After five months of isolation, during which they meticulously memorize every step, detail, and possible outcome, the plan reaches its climax over the course of eleven days. The robbers take control of the National Coinage and Stamp Factory of Spain, holding dozens of hostages and surrounded by police, as they test whether their high-stakes gamble will result in total success or complete failure.

Spoiler-Safe Guide
medium confidencesource-verifiedGuide covers all 41 episodes across 5 parts (2017–2021). The series is complete — all episodes aired before August 2025. Episode-level tagging is strong for major deaths, season premieres/finales, and the confirmed P4E3 Palermo/Gandia escape. A handful of mid-season Part 2 and Part 5 Volume 2 events carry ~ tags where sources confirmed the season but not the precise episode. One material correction made: the P4E6 entry originally misattributed Gandia's escape-from-handcuffs to that episode (it was P4E3) and misdescribed Palermo's role as inadvertent (it was deliberate).

Characters
The Professor (Sergio Marquina) · Álvaro Morte · debut [P1E1✓]
Obsessive mastermind behind both heists. Recruits and trains the crew, orchestrates the Royal Mint robbery remotely, and develops a genuine romantic relationship with Inspector Raquel Murillo. Later engineers the Bank of Spain heist to free Rio, losing his composure when Lisbon is captured. By the series finale he engineers a final act of theatre that frees the entire crew.
Tokyo (Silene Oliveira) · Úrsula Corberó · debut [P1E1✓]
Primary narrator and impulsive protagonist. A robber on the run after a failed heist cost her boyfriend his life. She is recruited by the Professor and is central to both heists. Her on-again-off-again romance with Rio drives many of her decisions. She sacrifices herself in the Part 5 midseason finale.
Berlin (Andrés de Fonollosa) · Pedro Alonso · debut [P1E1✓]
The Professor's older brother and Royal Mint second-in-command. Terminally ill, cruel yet charismatic. Maintains iron discipline inside the Mint, forms a disturbing relationship with hostage Ariadna. In the Part 2 finale he sacrifices himself so the crew can escape. Returns in Parts 3-5 via flashbacks revealing his prior marriage to Tatiana and role in planning the Bank of Spain heist.
Raquel Murillo / Lisbon · Itziar Ituño · debut [P1E1✓]
The police inspector assigned to negotiate during the Royal Mint heist. She unknowingly develops a relationship with the Professor under his alias. After the truth is revealed she sides with him, adopting the alias Lisbon and joining the crew for the Bank of Spain heist.
Nairobi (Ágata Jiménez) · Alba Flores · debut [P1E1✓]
The crew's counterfeiting and printing expert during the Royal Mint heist. Returns for the Bank of Spain heist, where she assumes a leadership role. Shot by a sniper in Part 3's finale, she survives surgery only to be executed by Gandia in Part 4.
Moscow (Agustín Ramos) · Paco Tous · debut [P1E1✓]
A former miner and Denver's father. Provides quiet moral weight within the crew. Wounded during the escape attempt from the Royal Mint, he dies in Part 2 surrounded by his son and crewmates.
Oslo (Miroslav Dragic) · Roberto García Ruiz · debut [P1E1✓]
One of two Serbian army veterans (alongside Helsinki) recruited for the Royal Mint heist. Critically injured by rebelling hostages near the end of Part 1; mercy-killed by Helsinki in Part 2's premiere. The first robber to die.
Denver (Ricardo Ramos) · Jaime Lorente · debut [P1E1✓]
Moscow's son and a volatile but loyal crew member. Falls for hostage Mónica Gaztambide during the Royal Mint heist; defies orders to kill her, and she eventually joins the crew as Stockholm. Central across all five parts.
Mónica Gaztambide / Stockholm · Esther Acebo · debut [P1E1✓]
The Royal Mint director's pregnant mistress and secretary, initially taken hostage. Denver chooses not to kill her as ordered; they fall in love. She joins the crew, taking the alias Stockholm, and remains with them through the Bank of Spain heist.
Helsinki (Santiago Fonollosa) · Darko Perić · debut [P1E1✓]
A Serbian army veteran and Oslo's cousin. One of the most physically powerful crew members. Present across all five parts, he mercy-kills Oslo in Part 2 and survives to the series finale.
Rio (Aníbal Cortés) · Miguel Herrán · debut [P1E1✓]
The youngest crew member and a skilled hacker. Tokyo's love interest. His capture by Europol after the Royal Mint heist is the catalyst for the entire Bank of Spain operation in Parts 3-5.
Palermo (Martín Berrote) · Rodrigo de la Serna · debut [P3E1✓]
Berlin's closest friend and the designated commander of the Bank of Spain heist. His erratic, authoritarian style creates friction with the crew. He inadvertently enables Gandia's escape, leading to Nairobi's death. Tokyo subsequently removes him from command.
Alicia Sierra · Najwa Nimri · debut [P3E2✓]
A ruthlessly pragmatic pregnant inspector who takes charge of the police operation in Part 3. She uses psychological manipulation — including Nairobi's son — to apply pressure on the crew. By Part 4 she acts independently, tracking the Professor to his hideout. In Part 5 she becomes his unlikely ally and gives birth during the siege.
Arturo Román · Enrique Arce · debut [P1E1✓]
The Royal Mint director and initial head hostage. Conniving and self-serving, he repeatedly attempts to organize escapes and uses his position to manipulate other hostages. He is Mónica's former employer and lover. Present across multiple parts.
