Soun Tendo is surprised to learn that the son of his friend Genma Saotome, whom he had arranged to marry one of his daughters, is actually a girl.

Ranma starts his first day at Furinkan High, where he is introduced to Akane and the several boys competing for her affection.

Kuno remains unaware that Ranma and the pigtailed girl are the same person and becomes angry with himself for allowing her to escape. His attention soon shifts to the red-haired fighter after she defeats him in combat.

Kuno continues his attempts to win over the "pigtailed goddess," which causes Ranma growing unease and leads Nabiki to recognize a potential business opportunity.

After a rough encounter with Akane leaves him injured, Ranma visits Dr. Tofu, who tends to his wounds and offers advice on improving his relationship with Akane.

Akane and Ranma go back to Dr. Tofu's clinic, where Kasumi unexpectedly shows up, causing Tofu to display his typical infatuated behavior, which Akane finds increasingly irritating.

Ryoga Hibiki, after an extensive and difficult search, confronts Ranma Saotome, the person he blames for ruining his life. However, Ranma has no recollection of the incident that caused Ryoga so much suffering.

Kodachi, determined to ensure St. Hebereke's victory in an upcoming gymnastics match, incapacitates the entire Furinkan team, leaving Akane as the last-minute replacement. However, Akane's lack of experience in rhythmic gymnastics makes the challenge even greater, and Kodachi further complicates matters by interfering at the Tendo Dojo.

Akane twists her ankle during practice, so Ranma takes her place in the competition against Kodachi.

Ranma competes in a match against Kodachi, with the affection of the Black Rose at stake.

Dr. Tofu's mother arrives with the intention of finding him a wife, leading Nabiki, Akane, and Ranma to plot together in an effort to help him avoid the situation.

Mousse tries to kidnap Akane but mistakenly takes her stuffed pig instead. Wanting to get it back, Akane persuades Ranma to help her track down Mousse at the circus.

Mousse, having successfully captured the intended victim, stages a new performance in which a girl is transformed into a duck through the use of cursed water from the Spring of the Drowned Duck.

Soun and Genma are surprised by the unexpected arrival of their former teacher, Happosai, the founder of the Anything Goes martial arts style. Happosai is known for his strong combat skills and his well-documented fixation on collecting women's undergarments.

Ranma tries to enter the Furinkan High girls' locker room using a map provided by Ryoga, which shows the location of a hidden spring that might cure his curse. However, he finds the attempt complicated by the fact that the girls are on high alert due to recent disturbances caused by Happosai.

Furinkan High School is preparing for a theater competition by staging a performance of *Romeo and Juliet*. Akane is cast in the role of Juliet, but the part of Romeo becomes a point of contention as Kuno, Happosai, and Ranma each express interest in playing the role, motivated by their own reasons. Ranma, in particular, is drawn to the opportunity after discovering that the winners will receive a trip to China.

After their water heater breaks down, Ranma and the others visit a public bathhouse. Happosai, as expected, attempts to sneak into the women's side, risking conflict and disruption.

Akane is shocked when Genma is attacked by a mysterious woman who refers to him as "father" and seeks revenge for being abandoned. This stranger, identified as Ukyo, challenges the family's dynamics and brings up questions about Genma's past.

Sasuke becomes involved in a conflict between Kuno and Kodachi, which results in his expulsion from the Kuno estate. While in the park, Akane meets the disheartened ninja and invites him to dinner at the Tendo Dojo, causing Sasuke to begin questioning his steadfast loyalty to the Kuno family.

A ghost is causing disturbances at Furinkan High after dark, prompting Ukyo to lead an investigation. As teams attempt to uncover the truth behind the supernatural occurrences, they find themselves mysteriously falling unconscious one after another.

A peaceful day at the beach is interrupted when Happosai discovers a mysterious bracelet containing three pills that induce intense love, causing whoever consumes them to fall passionately in love with the first person of the opposite sex they encounter.

After Ryoga is defeated by Ranma and becomes deeply depressed, Mousse proposes a partnership, believing that combining their abilities could give them a better chance to seek revenge.

Ranma, who is close to giving up, is given a new chance by Cologne in the form of the powerful Hiryu Shoten Ha technique. Although his current limitations may pose a challenge, he could potentially use the technique if he is able to master it successfully.
