Sydney Fox is a professor and international "relic hunter" who specializes in locating ancient artifacts and returning them to museums or the descendants of their original owners. She is assisted by her linguistic assistant, Nigel, and occasionally by her somewhat air-headed secretary, Claudia. She frequently finds herself in conflict with rival hunters who seek the same artifacts for financial gain.
