Spider-Man: The New Animated Series
A young Peter Parker must balance his life as a high school student with his double identity as Spider-Man, fighting villains and evading the law while protecting his city from chaos.
Spider-Man: The New Animated Series is an American animated series based on the Marvel comic book superhero character Spider-Man. It aired for one season consisting of 13 episodes, beginning on July 11, 2003. The show serves as a loose continuation of the 2002 Spider-Man film directed by Sam Raimi. Created using computer-generated imagery rendered in cel shading, the series was broadcast on MTV and YTV. Eight months after its finale, episodes were shown in reruns on ABC Family as part of the Jetix television programming block. The series presents a more mature portrayal of the character than typical for animated comic book adaptations on television. It features characters who are clearly killed, rather than ambiguously disappearing, and includes several instances where characters are strongly implied to have had sex.
