The Doris Day Show
The Doris Day Show is an American sitcom that originally aired on CBS from September 1968 to March 1973, spanning five seasons and 128 episodes. The series is notable for its frequent format changes throughout its five-year run. It is also remembered for Doris Day's account in her autobiography, *Doris Day: Her Own Story*, in which she stated that her husband, Martin Melcher, had signed her to the TV series without her knowledge. She discovered this only after Melcher died of heart disease on April 20, 1968. The show premiered on Tuesday, September 24, 1968.
